a slight update..
Jun 18th
Well my day took a lovely turn for the crappy, but I did want to update this site on a movie review (in the extended version of this entry). Going to continue watching Futurama and goto sleep. Maybe tomorrow will suck less…
Aeon Flux: (9/10)
So I finished watching this movie so that I could try to forget a horrible ending to my day and I luckily picked this movie. This was an awesome sci fi movie. I’m a big fan of Aeon Flux, ever since the cartoon on MTV’s Liquid Television. This was a great balance of plot and action. A great story line started out the movie with a virus wiping out 99% of humanity. From there it goes into a great story that you really don’t figure out until the end. Nice martial arts too and boom shoot ‘em up action!
father’s day at red lobster
Jun 18th
Just got back from dinner at red lobster and some swimming in the
pool! It’s amazing how not in shape I have become :). I think I’m
building my stamina back little by little but it takes a lot outta me to do
constant swimming for like 15-20 minutes. Oh yeah, this is also my first
blog entry for this site. I used to be at rehatiel.com, but I got a hold
of this domain and I liked it better. Especially since this is my nick
name and it always has been. I made rehatiel into a picture hosting site
full of the most twisted things I could find on the internet. It uses a
lot of bandwidth, but I figure my friends should enjoy it. ;)
Yesterday was pretty eventful! Ended up spending most of the day
playing the Nintendo DS with about 8 or 9 other people at one of their
apartments. It was very cool! Haven’t gotten a chance to spend time
with my friends in a while and I found it to be a great break from the
norm. Well anyways… there’s not much to talk about right now and
honestly I just wanted to post my first entry without giving any real
forethought to what it may say, so this is the result. Adios amigos!
Read the extended for my movie reviews (spoilers)
So you want the extended version eh? Well I think I’ll make this part
of my blog where I talk about the most recent movies and shows I’ve been
watching on tv and in the theatres. Beware of the spoilers.. :)
Movies: (only movies this time, no tv shows to speak of)
Room 6: (2/10 stars)
Okay.. This is a movie that they were really pushing on the tv about being a
creepy satanic movie with a bunch of human sacrifices and a lot of horror and
crap. Well.. there was one thing that this movie had a lot of, and that’s
crap. This movies was about the girl from Brady Bunch (Marsha?) who got
herself into a car accident, then had to rescue her boyfriend from this
hospital where they were holding him while fighting off a bunch of strange
lookin’ people who looks like their faces when through some sort of HUMAN
BLENDER!… Yeah… or something like that. In the end it turns out
she was dreaming or being tested or something. Now I’m religious, but
this was just really crappy story and most of the movie made no sense until the
end of the film and even then it was about as weak as the Village. My two
cents…. save your money and don’t rent this one. Wait till it
comes out on HBO or something before spending your green.
The Hills Have Eyes: (2/10)
This movie looked like a direct rip off of House of 1000 Corpses. It
was just as crappy as that movie and really had no hero, no body that you felt
bad for (accept the people that paid 8 bucks to see it in the theatre), and no
real ending or plot for that matter. As I watched this movie I was AMAZED
to see someone go down a dirt road in the middle of no where to sight
see. Wow… What a twist, that never happens. YA RIGHT!
Okay, but anyone who’s stupid enough to make an intentional turn down a dirt
road in the middle of the desert deserves whatever fate happens across
them. Well big shock here, there are some people out there who were the
victim of nuclear radiation from back in the 1940′s or something and they’re
all mutated (like in that movie Wrong Turn). They chase the family
around, killing off the mother and father almost immediately and orphaning a
small baby (except for his father which turns out to be the terminator and
kills everything and anything mutated which is the only cool part in the
film). That was a little strange, but not really unexpected. If
someone told me Rob Zombie directed this film, I would have been looking for
it. (Sorry Rob, I love your music man, but your movies are just freaky as
hell and remind me of the bad Chainsaw Massacre movies) Blah,
blah, blah.. They fight back, they win, or so they think. Another movie I
would tell you to save your time and effort and rent the next movie on my list)
16 Blocks: (8/10)
Hey look! A good action flick… no, I mean it… really! This
had Bruce Willis in it and how can you go wrong with him? :) I enjoyed
this movie. It had a lot of twists in it and kept you on your toes.
The ending was a little predictable, but still pretty neat. The only
thing that got on my nerves was the way the witness talked, but other than that
it was very well done. Not going to tell you the ending on this one,
because I think you should watch it for yourself.
That’s my ranting about movies for the day! Hope you
enjoyed it :) Here’s a little treat for those of you who read through my reviews:
